OIF Director- Ed Finn

Optimist International Foundation is pleased to welcome Mr. Ed Finn as our newest Board Member. Ed will be serving on the Foundation Board for a four year term beginning this upcoming 2012-2013 fiscal year. Ed has always been very active in his support of the Foundation. With his education and professional background being in finance and management, he brings a wealth of skills and experience to our Board roster, and will certainly be a great addition to the Foundation team. “I am excited for this opportunity,” said Ed. “I look forward to continuing to support the Foundation in its mission, and working to encourage others to do the same.” Thank you Ed for making this commitment and congratulations on a successful election;

                                                                                                                                                                                                           But, perhaps one of the most exciting ways to celebrate this new Optimist year is through the Fabulous at Forty parties that will be hosted! Each District is challenged to raise at least $4,000 unrestricted for the Foundation by hosting a series of anniversary parties, and inviting both Optimists and non-Optimists alike!  These themed celebrations are funded by the host, and all attendees are asked to purchase a ticket to the event.  It’s a great way to get people together to have fun, spread the word about Optimism, and toast to 40 years for the Foundation!  For more information about these parties, please contact the Foundation Offices,                    or click here.

News From Your District Foundation
Representative
Sallie Rizzo
     Our first District meeting in Santa Fe was a huge success. 24 Optimists received their Dime-A-Day pin with the special 40th Anniversary pin. Congratulations to Alta Vista Club for receiving an OIF framed print and a banner patch for their donations to the Foundation.

     The Silent Auction brought in $487.00 and the Fine Pot brought in $155.92. THIS IS AWESOME! Thanks to all of you that so generously helped make this weekend a success.

     A REMINDER – This year the Foundation Pin is called Dime-A-Day Plus and costs $40.00 instead of the $36.50 that we’re used to paying. The new pin reflects this and is exceptional. Please support the Foundation by being part of this program. The money is used to pay the scholarships that are offered to students – Oratorical, Essay and CCDHH. Thank you in advance.
